You know how some mothers tell you to wear clean underwear in case you’re in a car accident? Apparently they left out the possibility of being pantsed during a World Cup qualifying match.
When Edin Dzeko of Bosnia and Herzegovina tumbled to the turf on Sunday, he pulled down the shorts of Greek player Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Such a dignified move.
Dzeko was ejected and the game eventually finished in a 1-1 tie.
“I got a red card for no reason, I don’t know why,” Dzeko said, per ESPN FC. “The referee says I started the whole thing, but I was the only one ending on the floor, so how could I have started it?”
