Stephen Colbert has broken down why there’s actually no need for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to recuse himself from the Russia investigations.
On Thursday’s broadcast of the “Late Show,” the host lightheartedly explained how it wasn’t necessary due to the fact that Sessions had previously called himself a surrogate for Donald Trump’s presidential election campaign and later “lied under oath that you never met with the Russians.”
“So you don’t have to recuse yourself,” Colbert said. “Because you’ve already fucked yourself.”
